FAQ

A selection of our most frequently asked questions. For more answers either contact us or visit our FAQ page.
How much does a loft/attic, garage or shed clearance cost?

The cost for a partial house clearance which includes lofts, sheds and garages really depends on a number of factors. Primarily the size of the space and the amount of items that need to be removed. The type of items that need to be removed can sometimes affect the cost also. We always prefer to visit the property to see the space to allow us to offer an accurate quote but we can also provide quotes from photographs. You can see more information on our prices page. Our minimum charge is £60.

Do you only clear lofts, garages and sheds?

No, we can clear any rooms or spaces. These are just the most common ones when customers only need partial house clearance. We’re happy to clear one space or several, inside or outside.

My attic space is hard to access, will that be a problem?

Not at all. Our team are experienced at clearing all sorts of spaces with difficult access. We can normally do our job anywhere. We’re happy to discuss specific requirements so don’t hesitate to contact us.

Do you need a licence to provide loft/attic, garage and shed clearance services?

Yes. It is vitally important that whichever house clearance provider you chose is fully licensed by the environment agency. This ensures that everything the provider collects will be disposed of correctly and legally. Otherwise there is a risk of fly-tipping which could result in a fine of up to £50,000 for the original owner of the waste. Everett’s House Clearance are also fully insured.

What do you do with the items you collect?

Environmental sustainability is a core focus for us. We aim to send zero to landfill and go the extra mile to recycle, reuse or repurpose the majority of what we collect. We have good relationships with various recycling operations around the country meaning we can recycle a lot more than you’d expect. Plastics, wood, paper and metal can all be recycled but also mattresses, sofas and even white goods including fridges and freezers. Other items will be donated to charity or resold.

My loft/attic has asbestos insulation, can you still clear the space?

No, unfortunately not. We don’t like saying no to any jobs but we are not trained to work with asbestos so we will not be able to help in these cases. You will need to find someone qualified to do this.

I need my space cleared quickly, can you help?

Yes, we can often accommodate last-minute or quick turnaround jobs. Contact us to discuss your needs and deadlines and we will do our best to help you out.

I only need one large item removed, can you help?

Yes, absolutely this would come under our bulky item removal service with prices starting at £60.
